What would a recall petition mean in Clacton?

A recall petition cannot simply be started by a campaign.

It can only open if one of the legal recall conditions is met and the official process is triggered.

If an official petition opens, eligible registered voters in Clacton would have six weeks to sign it. If at least 10% sign, the seat becomes vacant and a by-election is held. The recalled MP is allowed to stand again.
